Overview of Smoothed Stochastic

The oscillator's sensitivity to market movements can lead to frequent trade signals, which can sometimes result in false positives due to market noise. Ehler's Smoothed Stochastic aims to mitigate these issues by applying a unique smoothing technique that refines the signals and enhances the indicator's reliability.

How Smoothed Stochastic Works

The stochastic is simply noise-reduced by utilizing the roofing filter, also developed by John Ehlers, by eliminating cycles outside the window of the upper and lower bands.

Smoothed Stochastic Key Features

The indicator offers several customizable features:

• Custom Input: Choose from a variety of inputs (Close, Open, VWAP, etc...).
• Display a signal curve.
• Custom Average: Choose from a variety of running averages for the signal curve.
• The filter upper and lower band cycles can be customized by the user.
• Custom Shade Color: Shade colors can be enabled or disabled on demand.
