The Fractal Adaptive Moving Avg. (FRAMA) for NinjaTrader by John Ehlers is a technical indicator developed to adapt to the market's changing dynamics more efficiently than traditional moving averages. It utilizes fractal geometry and the concept of dynamic length to adjust its sensitivity to price changes, aiming to reduce lag and improve accuracy in trend detection. The FRAMA's core principle is to provide a more responsive moving average that can quickly adapt to varying market conditions, making it particularly useful in volatile markets.

How FRAMA Works:

FRAMA calculates the fractal dimension of price series over a given period and adjusts its length dynamically. This calculation allows the FRAMA to become more sensitive during periods of price trends and less sensitive during sideways market movements. By doing so, it aims to filter out market noise and highlight trends more clearly.

User Inputs:

• Period (N): This input determines the base number of bars used to calculate the FRAMA. It sets the initial window size for analyzing price data. A typical setting might be 28 days, but this can be adjusted based on the trader's needs and the asset's volatility.
• FC (Fastest Cycle): The FC parameter sets the minimum window size for the FRAMA calculation. It represents the fastest cycle that the FRAMA will react to. Setting a lower FC value makes the FRAMA more responsive to short-term price movements.
• SC (Slowest Cycle): The SC parameter defines the maximum window size for the FRAMA. It represents the slowest cycle or trend that the FRAMA will consider in its calculation. A higher SC value allows the FRAMA to smooth out longer-term trends, making it less reactive to short-term volatility.
