The Awesome Oscillator for NinjaTrader is a momentum indicator that compares recent momentum with momentum over a broader period to identify potential trend changes or market direction.
Note: This download requires NinjaTrader 8 release 8.1.3 or newer.
The Awesome Oscillator is a relatively simple indicator but can be indispensable if utilized correctly with other indicators. It is essential a trending indicator that can be used for identifying trending markets, relative momentum, and potential reversals. The oscillator is two moving averages subtracted from each other with the median price as the data input:
AO = SMA (MEDIAN PRICE, Fast Period) - SMA (MEDIAN PRICE, Slow Period), where SMA is "Simple Moving Average"
This enhanced Awesome Oscillator indicator will do just that with the optionality of determining which averaging method, periods, and data input should be utilized.
